Our Risk Analysis is more than just running down a list of potential hazards and informing our clients of best practices. A Risk Analysis is the first step to quantify your needs and acts as a living document that will form the foundation of your customized Risk Analysis. The Risk Analysis takes into account your current environmental disinfection cleaning protocols, hygienic practices, facility usage/type and assesses high-touch surface/objects which may contribute to the cross-transmission of harmful bacteria.
We take an interdisciplinary approach to collecting information and feedback from your administrators/staff to identify all potential risks. Our IPCE team works very closely with stakeholders within your organization to understand what internal obstacles, challenges, and risks pose the greatest threats to your facility to provide evidence-based solutions to minimize the possibility for cross-transmission of infections.
Why is a Risk Analysis Important?
Across a broad industry spectrum year in and year out many organizations are continuing to see and experience a growing trend in healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). It is obvious these harmful bacteria & pathogens are continuing to evolve & win these battles, so why throw the same methodology and/or outdated disinfection cleaning practices at this constant problem & receive the same results? To avoid these obvious pitfalls and eliminate subpar infection prevention practices we recommend a comprehensive ICRA that can be updated annually and entail:
A basis for infection surveillance, prevention & control activities
Identifies at-risk populations/procedures in your facility
Assists in focusing surveillance efforts toward targeted goals
Aids in meeting regulatory and other requirements
